Description
This ornately-sawed copper necklace features a 19th century tintype photograph under protective resin. Photos taken of babies during this era often had the mother hidden behind a sheet to hold the baby up/still, though it’s hard to tell if that’s what’s happening in this photograph. The intricate design was all sawed by hand, and the heavy, copper chain measures about 10″ from the clasp to the top of the pendant.
